Morgan & David - August 1, 2015

This wedding was exceptionally fun as it was my first at Rock Lake! Even though the day was hot, the wedding was gorgeous. I quickly became comfortable at the new venue and set out to make the wedding a fabulous one for the sweet couple, Morgan and David.

The ceremony site, with it's simple rustic arbor and bride's chosen greenery, was a beautiful backdrop. Rock Lake's landscaping proved to be the perfect setting for the bride's colors of pale pinks. Both Morgan and David were laid back yet knew their vision. They easily made decisions and each of their vendors were great to work with.

The reception was at the venue's covered pavilion. The decorations of mason jars, rustic tree stumps, and candles warmed the space. The candles romantically lit the evening as the party went on. Delicious food of both BBQ and pizza pleased all the guests until the cake was cut.

Talk about a party. This couple had quite a crew of family and friends to celebrate with. So fun! Probably one of the biggest groups on a dance floor I've had! It was quite enjoyable seeing the men belt out their best Taylor Swift and see the ladies join in.

The Aggie War Hymn and sparklers sent the couple off into the night to begin their life together.

Congrats Morgan and David! Thank you for letting me a part of your special day.

Bailey & Will - June 13, 2015

Bailey and Will's wedding was my first summer wedding. I was really excited as I'm partial to summertime nuptials. Especially ones with bright sunflowers and stunning navy blue.

This couple was precious. They were from a small town down the road from me and had a sweet romance story. I just love working with couples that want to be married and have a sweet family! Bailey and Will had an adorable little boy that I couldn't help but coo at during our meetings - talk about hard to concentrate with that little cutie.

Inn at Quarry Ridge has been wonderful to work with and I'm so blessed to have a venue that refers me. Thank ya'll!

Summertime was all over this wedding with the sunflowers, blues, yellows, and rustic elements like burlap. Bailey really thought ahead and had a guests at a wedding shower decorate wine bottles with white markers, lace, and burlap. These in turn made for centerpieces at the wedding. Great idea!

Bailey was breathless in her lace open back dress and sunflower headpiece braided into her hair. She looked stunning. Bridesmaids were classic beauties in their navy blue dresses and sunflower bouquets. The men rounded out the wedding party with grey suits and navy blue vests. Will had a yellow vest. All the flowers were a mixture of sunflowers, burlap, wheat shafts, and lace. Everything looked effortless and made for a beautiful June wedding.

The summer afternoon rolled into a comfortable evening for the reception. Prior to the ceremony, guests sipped on refreshing sparkling wine; afterwards they were greeted with custom appetizers of empanadas and chicken and waffle skewers. Yum! Epicures did a great job and rounded out the food with delicious fajitas. A signature drink made special by the bride's mother and margaritas made for great times.

As the sun set the lights glowed from the porch and lit the guest tables. Inside the dance party was going. The naked wedding cake and delicate desserts were center stage on the 12-foot table wooden table. Such a fun easy reception to coordinate!

Congratulations Bailey and Will! May your days be filled with love!

Ashley and J.D. - June 6, 2015

When you have weddings on back to back weekends, have one be Ashley and J.D. Like the couple from my last post, Ashley and J.D. were super sweet and easy to work with. Maybe it was they knew the vision of their wedding and that made my job easier or that they were very much in love and ready to be husband and wife.

That's such an amazing part of my job, seeing the couple go from planning fiances to joined as husband and wife. They couldn't stop smiling and being with each other. I am thankful they let me be a part of their day and make it memorable and perfect.

Ashley was beaming in her gorgeous lace dress. I don't like to pick or say favorites but I will say Ashley was up there. She looked gorgeous. Loved the hair, boots, makeup. All! The bridesmaids completed the wedding colors with their teal dresses and bright bouquets. J.D. and his groomsmen were handsome in their khaki suits and boots. Ashley combined rich colors with bright summer colors so well! The tables centerpieces were simple and displayed pictures of the sweet couple.

The reception was another great one thanks to the music of Krystn from Absolute CS Music. She does a fabulous job and really gets guests dancing. New vendors, Franks catering and 73Photography {Jordan Smith} were great to work with. The BBQ dinner was delicious and Jordan got some great photos {see below}. A glowstick send-off sent the loving couple on their way into happily ever after.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Gwinn!

Carly and Preston - May 23, 2015

This couple was the sweetest from the time we first met. Carly is precious and probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met and Preston is a quiet gentleman. They were both very easy going and had a simple wedding day visioned: an early afternoon wedding with close family and friends.

Carly's colors of coral and gold brightened up the dreary skies that eventually opened up to a heavy shower - as the couple was exiting their ceremony! This didn't phase them as the couple and wedding party waited it out and then got some great photos by the talented Lauren Cater and Micah Reuss. Carly was stunning in her lace gown and her bridesmaids looked comfortable and sweet in their coral dresses with ivory bouquets from Unforgettable Floral. Preston and the groomsmen were dashing in khaki slacks with fun suspenders. Their pop of color came from matching coral ties.

Guests were patient until the delicious dinner of salad and fresh from the oven pizzas were served by Napa Flats. Can't forget the delicious appetizer of shrimp, dip, and bread. Yum! Absolute CS Music created a great vibe for the afternoon reception.

A fun personal touch the couple added was at their send-off. Since it was only early evening, it was too bright to do sparklers or glow sticks. Carly came up with the idea to toss popcorn! Apparently it's a very popular snack for the couple and was perfect for their wedding!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Scott!

Kim and Eric - April 4, 2015

A neat thing that I love about my job is seeing the bride's vision of her wedding day come to life. Every wedding is unique, fun, and special. I especially love to see weddings as the change in seasons comes.

Kim and Eric's wedding was on a BEAUTIFUL spring day in April. Seriously, the weather was stunning. It really brought out the yellow in Kim's colors. The reception was a perfect combo of grays and yellows from the table centerpieces to the bridesmaid's dresses. The table clothes were white with sweet little petals that flickered in the candlelight as the evening drew on.

Even the touch of color on the bride's lace wedding dress popped. The groomsmens looked oh so sharp in their gray suits. The bouquets had the perfect shade of yellow to match the rest of the wedding and just enough gray to contrast. Everything went together so well!

The reception was a great time! The fajita dinner from Epicures Catering and cake from Sandee's sweets rounded out the night. Guests remembered the night with the couple's signature drink and personalized koozies.

A very fun way the couple captured candid moments from the night was with cameras left on the guest's table. I'm sure they are still laughing over those photos!

Enjoy these stunning photos from Allmon Brothers who did an amazing job captuing the evening.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Trafton!
