Angel and Kobey - January 17, 2015

I kicked off 2015 with this sweet couple's wedding. It was so much fun!

First, for a January wedding the weather was STUNNING. Second, who doesn't love donuts for "happy hour". And third, a food truck brought dinner - chicken and waffles.

All around fun.

Angel was calm cool and collected. Having a background in event planning herself, she really knew what she was doing and I was happy to tie up loose ends and take care of the day off details for her. The wedding day went fabulous. The light pinks and ivory colors paired perfectly with the rustic elements. The faux wedding cake was a first for me and pretty neat. A real slice of cake was tucked into the fake one so the traditional cake cutting took place but guests actually received pieces from sheet cakes that were behind the scenes. Pretty neat and the cake stayed beautiful the entire night!

This post has by far the most pictures I have ever posted but I couldn't decide. They were all great and why not show off great shots from a great day!

Congratulations Angel and Kobey! Pray you have many many wonderful years together.

Erica and Hagen - March 21, 2015

Like they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck.

Erica and Hagen win the award for super couple. Throughout their entire rehearsal and wedding day the skies opened up and it rained. And rained. The spirit of these two was never broken and their wedding was as if it was a sunny day because of it.

What a blessings it was that Erica had already planned on having a dance floor under a tent on the venue's lawn. It provided the perfect {alternative} setting for the ceremony and then served as party central into the long hours of the night. This group could dance! It took a lot in me not to step out and bust a few moves myself.

Erica chose colors of light pink, sage green, and crisp white for their spring wedding. The centerpieces were simple yet anchored the reception. The colors carried through to the bouquets and weddings cake. A pop of turquoise with the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen's ties brought out a true spring feel.

Even though there were a few bumps in the road due to the weather plan, this wedding went better than I imagine. Thankful my coordinating skills really came through for me and no bad weather can intimidate this planner!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. DeRouen!
